Profile
Now located in Belleville,
Ontario, (get directions), our
company was established in Montreal in 1934. This Canadian company was
based on the original Beclawat, England, which was first formed in 1912.
While the railway
industry is one of our major customers, our product line has evolved
into a complete line of window and door products for the marine, offshore,
mass transit, military transport and leisure industries.
Training is ongoing
in the company with Appraisal Interviews forming an essential part of
our planning and operation.
Beclawat is registered
under the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standard.
All designs and
production drawings are prepared on a networked computer-aided design
system, using CADKEY software. Electronic data is also available in
DXF and DWG formats.

Our
People
Beclawat has always
taken great pains to hire only the best and most highly trained staff
available. Once employed, people are encouraged to maintain and hone
their state-of-the-art skills through a variety of programs and training.

In keeping
with Beclawat Manufacturing Inc.'s commitment to its clients,
we are pleased to announce that on 18 October, 2000, we registered
with International Quality System Registrars (IQSR) for the
ISO 9001 quality assurance program.
ISO 9001
is a Quality Assurance Model made up of quality system requirements
for organizations that design, produce, install, and service
products.

Beclawat's
Operating Philosophies

The International
Organization for Standardization published a new ISO standard
in December of 2000 that combines the old standard of 9001,
9002 and 9003.
As part
of Beclawat's continual improvement, we will be adopting the
new ISO 9001:2000 standard in early 2003.
The new
standard puts more emphasis on:
- planning
- customer satisfaction
- continual improvement
- analysis of the system effectiveness
